About TSB

TSB started operation 200 years ago.

We are a retail bank that has a trusted customer brand, heritage stretching back, and a devoted workforce that offers full-service banking to more than five million customers.

A modern banking platform

Centuries have passed and we are still operating. And during technology disruption, we looked for a way that will help us improve how we offer services. When new technologies are introduced, we always look for the ones that will benefit us and our clients. We put our clients’ needs before ours. Hence, we can offer full-service banking to more than five million customers.

TSB closure program

At TSB we work hard to meet the future needs of our customers, as well as have the right number of branches. In the past 2 years, we have observed a 17% decrease in the number of overall transactions in our branches. With  2.5 million of our customers now choosing to bank online, over 1 million access their accounts on our mobile app. Now that millions of our customers bank online, we are forced to close some of our branches.

TSB Services

We offer services that are designed to accommodate everyone’s personal needs and affordability.

You may have made financial mistakes in the past, but nothing is permanent. Apply for an online loan today and start spending your money wisely. However, it is important to only apply for the exact amount you need.

TSB personal loan

A personal loan is easy to be accessed and you can borrow to take care of your financial needs. When you apply for a personal loan you can be approved the same day and you might receive your funds within a few hours. At TSB we provided personal loans from £1,000 to £25,000, over 1-7-year loan terms, or £25,000 to £50,000, over 1-5-year loan terms.

You are allowed  to withdraw from a loan

It is normal to apply for a loan and notice after you have made your application that you do not need it. At TSB we give you 14 days to withdraw from the agreement. Which is will start on the day after you sign your loan agreement. You should pay the total loan amount (this is the amount we paid into your account) and the daily interest that we charge. Both amounts can be found on the loan agreement.

How to apply for TSB loans

If you are already a TSB member you can easily apply for a loan online. However, if you are new to TSB we will have to guide you through each step.

  1. Visit our website. Firstly, you need to make use of the online calculator to determine the possible percentage, rates, and monthly installments of your loan.
  2. Click on the ‘apply now button which will redirect you to our application form. Apply and submit your form.
  3. After we have processed your application, we will get back to you. If you are approved, you can expect the funds into your account within a few hours.

TSB loan application criteria

When you apply for a TSB loan you should have a good reason to do that because when you fail to elaborate the reason you need funds your application might be declined. We demand this because we do not want to give people money which they will probably misuse.

  • Be an over 18 UK resident
  • Hold a TSB current account for more than three months but you can also apply even if you are not a TSB member.

We are an understanding and responsible lender. When you cannot meet monthly repayments, we look at your situation to help come up with the solution. We can even suggest you take a repayment holiday and start the repayment after it. But when you just vanish, we will take legal action against you.

We provide extra support to everyone in need

TSB works so closely with customers and the community to provide extra support during these changes. We want to make sure that we help everyone who needs extra help with banking thus we have a team of specialist Mobile Local Bankers to help guide customers through the changes and find suitable banking alternatives. Customers will have access to:

  • One-to-ones for alternative day-to-day banking.
  • Support with mourning or caring for a relative
